Board and Train
When your pup comes to stay at Sit ‘n Stay Training, they will be treated like family.
My Board and Train programs are designed with your dog’s emotional wellbeing, learning style, and individual needs at the forefront. Training takes place in my home—not a kennel facility—allowing your dog to live as part of a structured, supportive household while building real-life skills that transfer seamlessly back into your home.
To ensure the highest level of care and attention, I accept a maximum of two training dogs at a time. This allows for a highly individualized approach, where each dog receives a tailored routine that includes training, enrichment, exercise, and ample opportunity for rest and decompression. Thoughtful management and low-stress handling are prioritized to support learning, prevent overwhelm, and promote lasting behavioral change.
All programs begin with a virtual consultation, which is included in the cost of the program. This initial call, completed over zoom, allows me to review your dog’s history, current challenges, and goals so that their training plan can be designed intentionally from the start.
Board and Train programs are structured based on your dog’s needs. Dogs working on foundational manners require a minimum stay of two weeks, while behavior modification programs require a minimum of four weeks to allow for meaningful progress and skill development. Longer stays may be recommended depending on individual goals and training needs.
This program is designed to be collaborative. While your dog will make significant progress during their stay, long-term success depends on clear communication, consistency, and follow-through at home. You should expect to be an active, engaged participant in the process, including follow-up support and guidance to help maintain and build upon the progress made during training.
